Digitalisation

Long-term success only possible through digital transformation

Everyone is aware of digitalisation within the company. What was once processed in analogue form on paper is now converted into bits and bytes to make it available in a digital format. But digitalisation is much more than this. New digital technologies facilitate organisation and optimisation by way of intelligent processes and provide access to new business models. They also result in new value chains and changed consumer behaviour.

Digital transformation creates added value for Klüh and its clients

In recent years, Klüh IT has evolved from a classical IT support unit via an IT service provider to become a business enabler that is driving digital transformation for economic benefit. This applies both within the company itself and at its clients. One of the key measures during this evolution was the establishment of CoDE (Center of Digital Excellence) in 2018.

The Center of Digital Excellence is responsible for identifying innovative topics for the individual divisions and sectors at an early stage. The focus is on pioneering technologies such as the Internet of things (IoT), machine-to-machine communication, artificial intelligence, autonomous robots and assistance systems, and virtual or augmented reality. Implementing the right digital innovation at the right moment makes the company strong and competitive so this is the core task of CoDE.

Cleaning technologies of the future

Klüh is developing pioneering cleaning technologies for professional building cleaning services, combining augmented reality technology with smart glasses. These visualise for the cleaning operative which activities need to be performed where and in which sequence. In addition, the materials, process steps and other useful information needed to ensure professional cleaning are projected in the display. The data glasses also communicate with cleaning machines and materials that are equipped with sensors.   Here you can experience Klüh’s cleaning process of the future in a 3D model with 360-degree view.

Digital learning creates many opportunities

Learning at any time, anywhere, alone or in a group – e-learning is an effective element of digitalisation at Klüh and a fixed component of training and development. Innovative learning programmes that can be accessed online at any time are available for all of Klüh’s divisions.

The Klüh Catering app is a development launched in 2018 that is being constantly adapted to the growing needs of clients and guests. For example, the app shows canteen guests the current menu, provides information about nutritional values and allows individual allergen management. It also displays offers and promotions and gives access to ‘Genusswelten’, the guest magazine published by Klüh Catering.
